On July 8, 2023, the time had finally come and our house opened its doors to all interested parties from young to old. It was a day for ALL with numerous colorful activities, lots of delicious food and refreshing drinks, informative presentations as well as festive speeches.
With just such a speech, “host” and managing director of Fränkische Verlagsanstalt Robert Kästner opened the event at 11 a.m. and reported on the many ups and downs during the renovation work, which finally came to a good and happy end. The many visitors were able to see this for themselves during the day’s interesting guided tours, which took them through the entire building all the way up to the roof. Beer from Streubräu, sandwiches and wraps as well as ice cream and coffee were served to recharge the batteries in between.
Other exciting presentations, such as the one on digitalized navigation by the Fraunhofer Institute in Erlangen and the impressive impulse on the topic of “accessibility” by Kornelia Grundmann and Josef Sögner from the Gabana agency, also ensured amazement and enthusiasm.
The insight into the work of the furniture makers in the person of Herwig Danzer will also be particularly memorable. He reported on the background of their sustainability concept and emphasized the good cooperation that determined the project of the complete furnishing on the 5th floor of the Karl Bröger House and made it something unique.
